Braided Heaters
The construction of Mannings braided heaters gives them a unique flexibility that makes them particularly effective where any non-uniform shape or small diameter pipe work form part of a heat treatment operation.Capable of providing temperatures up to 1050oC, the heater is lightweight and easy to handle and has many pre and postweld heat treatment applications. The standard nickel chromium element wire has a double braided ceramic yarn insulation with a braided nickel chrome wire outer cover.
Durable, with a realistic working life expectancy, the heater is designed to be used either as a single heater or where larger areas are involved, they can be laced together to form a heater rig. Also manufactured in Shoelace form which makes them ideal for heating small valves, tee pieces or elbows, etc.
Termination tails are fitted with camlock connectors.

Channel Heaters
Designed to pre and postweld heat treat large fabrications and vessels, channel heaters are usually positioned within the insulated workpiece creating a temporary furnace installation with a radiant/convective heat source capable of protracted heat treatment periods.
Portable and easy to handle, they are suitable for a variety of applications, particularly as they have a long on-site working life.
Can also be used as hearth or wall elements when constructing temporary furnaces.Working temperatures of up to 800oC are permissible, but higher temperatures can be achieved using Kanthal wire as an alternative element material. Steel connector blocks or camlock connectors are used for tail terminations.

Electric Infra Red Heaters
The Mannings radiant heater can be used as a single free standing unit, or in multiples positioned either vertically, horizontally or circumferentially about a vessel. The rapid heat up characteristic makes the heater economical to use and ideal for seams on large vessels that require to rotate during an automatic welding process.
The heavy gauge insulated steel element support tray is fitted with mounting brackets to enable the heater to be secured onto a suitable support structure. The heater operates at a safe working voltage and working temperatures up to 350oC can be achieved.
Of rugged construction, it is lightweight and easy to use.Consistent with all Mannings equipment, delivery time scales and initial costs are realistic.

Flexible Ceramic Pad Heaters
Identical in construction to the flexible ceramic pad heater, it has in addition ceramic fibre insulation encased in stainless steel mesh and protected by a stainless steel backing plate.
Particularly suitable for preheating pipework, welded fabrications and vessels having either longitudinal or circumferential seams, this robust and reliable heater can:Operate from a welding machine or heat treatment transformer unit.
Provide protection to the insulators from weld spatter. Be magnetically attached to the work piece for fast application by the addition of two magnet.

Pipe Butt Clamp On Heaters
Tailored for specific pipe diameters, the clamp-on heater is quick and easy to apply.
The construction of the heating element is identical to the ceramic mat heater, sintered alumina beads providing electrical insulation and high quality ceramic fibre blanket encased in stainless steel pre formed backing plate with snap fasteners.Camlock connectors are used on the tails.
The clamp-on heater offers high production potential with minimum operational costs, clearly making the heater indispensable in a pipework production workshop where numbers of similar sized welds require heat treatment.
|
| |
Rope Heaters
Heaters are then overbraided with Ni/Cr wire to form a very robust and flexible heater - Ideal for use in awkward situations. Rope heaters spiralled onto pipework either side of a proposed weld seam give efficient preheating coupled with low installation costs and a long working life.Suitable for temperatures up to 250oC the heaters can be used on pipework diameters of 150mm up to 500mm
